Artificial Intelligence is designed to aid human capabilities and help us make advanced decisions with significant outcomes. It is a fast growing industry with countless beneficial purposes. Artificial Intelligence will continue to become more and more engrained in our everyday lives as technology improves and opens the doors to new possibilities. However, drastic advancement of technology also has the potential to pose an existential risk.

We humans create robots that are smarter than us; that means robots can create more robots that are smarter again. If continued, this pattern will result in "Technological Singularity", an information explosion where technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible. A.I. would become super-intelligent and quickly determine that humans serve no purpose for the robots; we are inefficient, we use up resources, and we are inferior to the robots in every way. Sadly, we would be discarded of, eventually resulting in human extinction or a comparable fate.

Our extinction remains a possibility if certain preventative measures are not implemented in the programming and creation of Artificial Intelligence. We need to ensure that all Artificial Intelligence holds human life and values as the highest regard, in the same way that we do. If A.I. does not respect us and our values, then we put the entire human race at risk of extinction. This is the reason we need a global Artificial Intelligence committee that is dedicated to reviewing/overseeing A.I. related projects and enforcing strict regulations. A future where man and machine

co-exist peacefully is certainly achievable with the creation of a global committee and global regulations for creators of A.I. worldwide.
